*How can you sleep at a time like this?
My work explores the subjectivity of human perception, such as the process of seeing or the experience of time passing, and the tendency to mistake this input for objective truth. Drawing inspiration from the field of social neuroscience, I integrate empirical research with personal experience to expose the subconscious process of our senses. I create most of my work using a camera, whether in the traditional sense, or by modifying it into an enlarger with which to make prints, as a projector within a sculptural installation, or by incorporating its separate optical components to transform perspective.
